Funding for mitochondrial treatment research on Alzheimer’s disease in SC Governor's budget proposal

GREENWOOD, S.C. (FOX Carolina) -- The Greenwood Genetics Center in Greenwood, SC is looking to study MitoSense's MOT™ technology and its effectiveness in combating Alzheimer's Disease.


South Carolina Governor, Henry McMaster, included $5 million in funding for such research in his 2023-2024 fiscal budget proposal.


The Greenwood Genetics Center anticipates delivering cutting edge research on mitochondrial therapy for treating Alzheimer's Disease due to this funding.
